We are seeking a highly skilled Automated Logic WebCTRL (ALC WebCTRL)Technician with 5+ years of experience to join our dynamic and fast-paced colocation data center operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing Building Management Systems (BMS) with a strong focus on WebCTRL automation. This role requires technical expertise in HVAC control systems, BACnet protocols, network integration, and data center environmental monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:BMS & WebCTRL System Management:
Install, configure, and program ALC WebCTRL software to optimize HVAC, CRAC/CRAH, and chiller plant operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to controllers, sensors, and communication networks within the BMS.
Conduct regular system audits, performance evaluations, and firmware/software updates.
Develop and fine-tune control logic sequences and alarm notifications for critical facility infrastructure.
Data Center Environmental Monitoring & Controls:
Ensure proper operation of temperature, humidity, and airflow control systems to maintain SLAs.
Work closely with networking, facilities, and electrical teams to coordinate BMS-related tasks.
Monitor real-time data trends and analytics to preemptively address system inefficiencies or failures.
Networking & Integration:
Maintain BACnet, Modbus, and other communication protocols for seamless integration with third-party systems.
Collaborate with IT and network engineers to ensure proper BMS connectivity and cybersecurity best practices.
Support API integrations, dashboard customization, and automation scripting to enhance system usability.
Maintenance & Emergency Response:
Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of BMS components.
Respond to system alarms, troubleshoot failures, and implement corrective actions 24/7 as required.
Maintain compliance documentation, SOPs, and change control logs for BMS updates.
Key Skills & Qualifications:Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in ALC WebCTRL: Programming, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Experience with CRAC/CRAH, Chillers, VFDs, and AHUs in a data center environment.
Strong understanding of HVAC control strategies, PID tuning, and sequence of operations.
BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and IP networking knowledge for BMS communication.
Familiarity with SNMP, SQL databases, and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, or VB) is a plus.
Operational Experience:
5+ years in BMS controls, automation, or HVAC systems with ALC WebCTRL experience.
Experience working in colocation or hyperscale data centers preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high-stakes environments.
Ability to interpret MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings, sequences, and schematics.
Soft Skills & Work Environment:
Excellent communication and documentation skills for ticketing systems like ServiceNow (SNOW).
Ability to multitask and prioritize critical infrastructure issues in a high-uptime facility.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or in a team.
Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and emergency response situations.
Preferred Certifications (Not Required but a Plus):
ALC WebCTRL Certified Technician
Tridium Niagara 4 Certification
EPA 608 Certification (for handling refrigerants)
OSHA 30-Hour Training
BICSI, DCIM, or Data Center Operations Training
